A family floor-game setup with room for drinks
Leave a clear play area, walking route and stable drink spot.

Draw the play boundary
Lay out the board and the space needed for cards or pieces before adding drinks. Leave a separate area for snacks and beverages rather than surrounding the board with them.
Check the carpet
A soft surface may be uneven even when it looks flat. Use a stable table if the complete holder cannot rest level and fully supported.
Keep natural reach
Place an adult’s drink beside that adult, outside the path used by children or others walking through the room. Do not rely on a holder to make a drink childproof.
Pause before rearranging
Move drinks first when someone changes seats, spreads out a new game or shifts cushions. A familiar fixed spot is easier for everyone to notice.
